What are the advantages of PBF stretch forming machines?

Minimizes internal stress: Stress is reduced due to the normalized grain structure of the metal after heat treatment and forming process, greatly reducing spring-back. High volume output: Stretch forming is a rapid process and well suited to higher volume output. Large parts: larger parts can be formed with Senior Aerospace Thermal Engineering’s open access cold stretch presses. Lower cost: Stretch forming is lower cost than cold draw forming due to simpler forming tools being used.

High bending quality

  • After spraying, electrophoresis, electroplating, polishing, wire drawing, etc., the material can bend directly without damaging the surface of the material.
  • Profiles with cavities and complex cross-sections can be formed at one time. When the relative bending radius allows, the inner wall will not be wrinkled and the section will not be distorted.
  • Bending can effectively eliminate the residual stress inside the material, and the product has good dimensional stability.
  • Due to the cold work hardening of the metal material, the comprehensive mechanical properties of the material can be improved after the material is stretched and bent.

The Stretch Bending Machine (also named Strech Forming Machine, and Profile Stretch Press) can be divided into rotary type Stretch Bending Machine and double arm type Stretch Bending Machine, and various special stretch bending machines, such as a special stretch forming machine for shower room, special forming bending machine for train roof beam, and special stretch forming machine for the elevator.

The Stretch Bending Machine adopts full hydraulic control and can cold-form (cold bending) various steel pipes, square tubes, H-beams, I-beams, channel steels, angle irons, flat irons, and aluminum profiles with a section below 500mm.

The variety of materials with properties suitable for this forming process include stainless steel, clad metals, nickel, aluminum, brass and titanium alloys, and other heat-resistant and refractory metals. In some cases, parts formed using these materials are difficult or impossible to form by other methods.
