About PBA-CNC Aluminum Bending Machine
Over 20 years ago, We produced its China‘s first aluminium bending machine for window profiles. Since then, BIT has become a part of China’s manufacturing history.
The PBA full servo drive(up to nine independently servo-controlled axes) CNC aluminum roll bending machine features a robust design. It easily allows for the processing of various complex profiles with smaller bending radii, and creates any curvature shapes.
The intuitive CNC control system enables automatic operation and seamless DXF and STEP file imports, transforming aluminum bending. Why Roll-Bending? Over the years roll bending with CNC aluminum profile bending machine evolved to become the dominant forming method in the aluminum extrusion bending.
An aluminum bender shapes profiles along one axis using rolls. The roller distance, diameter, and depth control the bending radius. For larger bends, the material alternates through the machine, adjusting the roller distance as needed.

CNC Control
- The workpiece can be rolled bent formed at one time; it can also be bent and formed repeatedly in various forms according to the needs;
- Bendable shapes: C-shape, U-shape, 3R-shape, S-shape, ellipse, and various arcs with variable curvature symmetrical on both sides; parabola, Archimedes spiral, and various asymmetrical arcs with variable curvature.
- 2D drawing DXF file, 3D drawing STEP file USB import, and directly generate aluminum profile roll bending process program and automatically assign address; roll bending process data can be manually modified, and roll bending process data can be exported through USB;
- The interface operates and displays a 3D simulated three-dimensional arc, and the color changes synchronously to display the roll bending process; the simulated arc profile can be opened, zoomed, and rotated.
- It can realize the three-axis linear interpolation function of the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis, display the position change data of each action axis and workpiece movement data on the screen, and monitor the interpolation effect at any time to ensure the real interpolation function.
- The equipment reserves an Internet communication interface, which can be used for remote online monitoring, remote debugging, online upgrade, etc.
- The data of each axis has a power failure memory function and a permanent data storage function to prevent data loss due to power failure, shutdown, or equipment failure.

Shaft seat slideway (Chinese patent)

PBA vs. Conventional Aluminum Bending Machins
Y-axis Positioning Methods
- Fully servo-driven, with a repeat positioning accuracy of less than 0.01mm, unaffected by temperature;
- Conventional machines: Driven by hydraulic cylinders, positioning speed and accuracy are easily affected by temperature.
Spindle (Y-axis) Rotation Drive
- Servo motor + planetary gearbox, constant torque, no inertia, high positioning accuracy, high torque transmission efficiency;
- Conventional machines: Variable frequency drive motor driving gear reducer, transitioning through a universal joint drive shaft, torque increases with speed, large motor inertia, leading to poor system stability and low positioning accuracy.
Horizontal Positioning is Preferred
- PBA aluminum bending machines are vertical spindle and horizontal installations that high-precision bending for aluminum profiles of varying lengths, and are best suited for handling long, narrow workpieces, and also good for creating tight bends without deformities.
- Vertical aluminum bending machines not suitable for processing biger aluminum profiles, can be more difficult to operate and they’re not as precise as horizontal machines.
Notes: When bending large workpieces or large-diameter aluminum profiles, horizontal positioning is preferred. Proper support in the chosen position prevents the weight of the workpiece from affecting the final results. Bending in a horizontal position is also utilized to address clearance issues at customer facilities.
X-axis Variable Center Distance
- PBA is the variable geometry aluminum profile bending machine, variable centers adjust the machine to perform like a large or small machine, and are suitable for bending aluminum profiles and for heavy metal fabrication work.
- Conventional machines: The X-axis center distance of commonly used aluminum profile bending machines for door and window profiles in the market is not adjustable.

An aluminum bender is the forming of aluminum profiles in one axis by a multi-roll bending machine. If the semi-finished product is not moved during the bending process, the distance between the rollers, their diameter, and the depth of immersion determine the bending radius. To produce particularly large bends, the material is pulled through the roller bending machine and moved alternately. The distance between the rollers is gradually adjusted. In most cases, roll bending is the most flexible and cost-efficient bending method. A profile is guided between three adjustable bending rolls and gradually bent in the desired radius.
