# Weight Calculator for Flat Bar

Here BIT provides you with the Weight Calculator for Flat Bars and Flat Steel Bars Weight Formula. Maybe you’d like to browse our page about profile bending to learn about the ways metal sections can be bent and the various bending processes. The video on the right is BIT’s PBH section bending machine for steel profile bending, which is also called a profile bending machine.

## Flat Steel Bars Weight Formula

The formula to calculate the weight of a flat steel bar is based on its width (W), thickness (T), and length (L). Here’s the formula:

Weight=Width×Thickness×Length×Density

Where:

• Width (W) is the width of the flat bar in meters.
• Thickness (T) is the thickness of the flat bar in meters.
• Length (L) is the length of the flat bar in meters.
• Density of steel (typically around 7.85 g/cm³ or 7850 kg/m³)

So, the formula for the weight of a flat steel bar can be expressed as:

Weight=W×T×L×Density

This formula calculates the weight in kilograms. Make sure to use consistent units for width, thickness, and length to get accurate results.
