PRV 3-Roll Plate Rolling Machine with the variable geometry design doesn’t have a fixed roll. The plate roller is designed so that the top roll moves up and down and the two lower rolls move horizontally and independently of each other.
It has the function of pre-bending the end of the plate, which can feed the metal plate at one time, and can complete the pre-bending of the plate end and the rolling of the workpiece without turning around. The three work rolls are the main driving rolls. The lifting and lowering of the upper roll and the horizontal movement of the two lower rolls are hydraulically driven. The lifting displacement is controlled by a computer, automatically leveled, and displayed on the screen. The synchronization accuracy is ±0.2mm. The equipment’s flexibility makes it a suitable choice for medium to thick materials, say more than 1 in. thick.

Produce a short unbend flat

Any plate rolling operation typically leaves an unbent flat end section.

That flat section is minimized with the PRV variable-geometry 3-roll plate bending machine. If the plate is fed into the machine from the left side, the left bottom roll, acting as a lower press die, and the top roll, working like a press ram, grabs the plate’s leading edge. The right bottom roll supports the plate as it is fed into the bending machine.

The top roll pushes directly on the leading edge, leaving a very minimal flat end and deforming it to the required radius. The edge is correctly prebent because of the displacement between the roll axes of the top roll and the left bottom roll. The subsequent rotation continues to deliver the desired curve.
