PRV 3-Roll Plate Rolling Machine with the variable geometry design doesn’t have a fixed roll. The plate roller is designed so that the top roll moves up and down and the two lower rolls move horizontally and independently of each other.
It has the function of pre-bending the end of the plate, which can feed the metal plate at one time, and can complete the pre-bending of the plate end and the rolling of the workpiece without turning around. The three work rolls are the main driving rolls. The lifting and lowering of the upper roll and the horizontal movement of the two lower rolls are hydraulically driven. The lifting displacement is controlled by a computer, automatically leveled, and displayed on the screen. The synchronization accuracy is ±0.2mm. The equipment’s flexibility makes it a suitable choice for medium to thick materials, say more than 1 in. thick.

PRV variable geometry plate rolling machine, oil cylinder adopts one up and one down arrangement structure. All three rollers are equipped with driving devices: the upper roller is driven by a hydraulic motor through a planetary reducer and a gearbox to rotate the upper roller, and the lower roller is driven by a hydraulic motor to drive a planetary reducer to drive the lower roller to rotate. The upper roller is lifted by a hydraulic cylinder, and the lifting displacement is controlled by Electrical system control; the horizontal position of the two lower rollers can be adjusted independently, the horizontal movement adopts hydraulic transmission, and the center distance can be adjusted.


Structure

Work Rollers

Material: 42CrMo, forged by a 10,000-ton press, quenched and tempered, with a hardness of HB260~300.
Provide work roll physical and chemical testing, non-destructive testing, including hardness testing and other relevant testing reports upon delivery.
Three flaw detection inspections, the flaw detection standard is GB/T6402-2008 third-level non-destructive flaw detection for steel forgings, and material inspection reports, heat treatment inspection reports, flaw detection inspection reports, etc. are provided.
It adopts heavy-duty self-aligning roller bearings for rolling mills, with strong bearing capacity, low friction, long service life, energy saving and consumption reduction, and meets the requirements of working roll tilt.

Upper roller and transmission

The load factor of 0.7, which is the maximum stress on the work roll, is used to preset and compensate the force deformation of the work roll to improve the precision of coiling.
The drive of the upper roll of the plate rolling machine with a roll diameter of 160mm and above adopts a four-motor confluence structure (composed of a hydraulic motor, a planetary reducer, a gearbox, etc.).

Under the same driving torque, the specifications of a single motor and reducer are greatly reduced, and conventional specifications can be purchased. The procurement cycle of a single motor is shorter and the cost is lower.
If a single motor reducer is damaged and is not replaced, the whole machine can be used with reduced specifications and continue to roll.

Double Chamber Cylinder

Layout

It is beneficial for the plate rolling machine to overturn the discharge side of the oil cylinder: it is symmetrically arranged, and a connecting hole is opened in the middle, and the force is applied to the upper roller by pulling the oil cylinder downward.


Double and single cylinder

With the single-cylinder bottom structure, when the work rolls are under no force, the oil cylinder has a large action area, and when the work rolls are under force, the oil cylinder has a small area of action.


The downside unloading oil cylinder can effectively simplify the structure of the discharge side, the tip body is smaller, safe and reliable, and can roll large cone disc-shaped workpieces.


The upper position of the transmission side oil cylinder is beneficial to the layout of the upper and lower roller transmission devices and balance devices.
The upper position of the transmission side oil cylinder can reserve enough space for the lower roller to install the transmission device, and at the same time make the span of the upper and lower rollers small enough to enhance the rigidity of the upper roller.
The balance device is an active balance of the oil cylinder, and the balance oil cylinder is equipped with a pressure sensor, which can display and set the balance pressure. There is also a limit switch on the balance device to determine the balance position, and the upper roller can be balanced up to this position or above.
