About the vibration problem

Generally, the ratio of height to diameter of a supercritical CO2 rectification tower is relatively large, so it should be regarded as a flexible structure. In this case, the influence of high vibration mode on the equipment should be considered.

High-vibration calculation method JB/T4710-2005 “Steel Tower Container” Appendix A “Calculation of Wind Force and Wind Bending Moment of Cross Wind”. The disadvantage of this method is that the acceleration response spectrum curve is used to obtain the maximum value of each mode response when calculating each mode response, but in fact, the maximum value of each mode response does not occur at the same time, so the calculation result is too large. In addition, the calculation of this method is relatively complicated, so the “Tower” stipulates that when the H/D of the supercritical CO2 rectification tower is > 15 or H < 20m, the seismic bending moment of the basic mode can be increased by 1.25 times.
